Thomas Womack

Thomas Jerry Womack, Jr. 78, of Martinsville, VA transitioned on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehab Center.  He was born in Nashville, TN on February 12, 1947 a son of the late Thomas and Catherine Foster Womack.

He was a former instructor at Saint Augustine University in Raleigh, NC and a member of Fayette Street Christian Church.  He was also a life member of the NAACP.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Tara Womack and Cynthia Bell both of Clarksville, MD; three sisters, Germaine Womack Goggins and Cynthia Womack Geter, both of Greensboro, NC and Linda Womack, of Atlanta, GA and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Fayette Street Christian Church with Rev. Calvin Curry officiating.  Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens,  The family will receive friends at the church one half hour prior to the funeral.  A public viewing will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services.
