Timothy "Tim" Roger Hale

Timothy Roger Hale, 60, of Rocky Mount, VA, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2025.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, W. Roger Hale, and his step-father, T.C. Philpott. He is survived by his loving mother, Linda Philpott; his children, Grace Altice (Ronnie), James Hale (Chelsie), and Nicole Heck (Benton); his sister, Karen Smith (Robert); his brother, Todd Philpott (Lorrie); and his nieces and nephews, Heather Smith, Kelly Smith, Todd Philpott, Jr. (Lacey) and Emily Furrow.

Tim was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren—Katelynn, Kaylee, Kaden, Abby, Presleigh, Jaxon, and Parker—who were truly the center of his world. Whether it was wrestling, soccer, dance, or t-ball, “Papa Tim” was always their biggest fan, cheering them on with unwavering love and pride.

To his family, Tim was more than a father and grandfather—he was a guiding light. A selfless and loving man, he devoted his life to ensuring his children and grandchildren were cared for, supported, and above all, happy. His love was a constant presence, and all who were lucky enough to be part of his life were deeply blessed.

Tim will be profoundly missed, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Flora Funeral Chapel. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
