Tommy Alfred

Mr. Harold Thomas (Tommy) Alfred, age 80, of Covington, died Friday, March 21, 2025 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.
Mr. Alfred was born October 7, 1944 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Eddie Ray Alfred, Sr. and Beatrice Smith Alfred. A lifetime member of this community, he was employed as a salesman with Motion Industries. Tommy was a member of Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a former member of Callaghan Ruritans and former member of March of Dimes Board. Tommy was also president of the Alleghany County Fair.
Mr. Alfred is survived by two sons, Derek Thomas Alfred (Skip) of Richmond and Jeffrey Scott Alfred-Sanford (Sullivan); a daughter, Michele Suzanne Alfred Kenny (Adam) of Clifton Forge; two grandchildren, Tanner Nicholas Kenny and Graham Thomas Kenny; two brothers, Ronald Eugene Alfred (Angela) of West Virginia and C. Wendell Alfred (Mike) of Lewes, DE; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Alfred was preceded in death by three brothers, Eddie Ray Alfred, Jr., Ralph Garland Alfred and Jerry Wayne Alfred and sister, Betty Jo Alfred Wright.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Granbery Memorial Church with Pastor Brian Boettcher officiating.
