Tommy Lee Bowers

Tommy Lee Bowers, Sr., 70, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born on September 22, 1955, to the late Joe Billy Bowers, Jr. and Nellie Louise Rosenbaum Bowers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas Bowers (Vickie) and JB Bowers; and sister, Patti Underwood; paternal grandparents, Joe Billy Bowers, Sr. and Mamie Sexton Bowers; maternal grandparents, H. Brown Rosenbaum & Thelma E. Rosenbaum.

Tommy worked for many years as a mechanic in the textile industry. In addition to his professional life, he received his Associate’s Degree from Patrick & Henry Community College in Electrical work. Tommy was a man who enjoyed the simple parts of life—being outdoors in nature, spending time in the mountains, or fishing on the lake with those he loved. He found joy in traveling, cars, a good meal, and sharing quality time with his friends and family. He loved all people and had a pure heart, and his grandchildren held a very special place in it.

Tommy leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, lifetime partner, Elaine Finney; children, Jennifer Bowers (Rob), Tammy Stoneman (H.B.), Money Finney, Tommy Bowers, Jr., Brandon Prillaman, Requintoes Finney (Tara), Quomain Finney (Shelby), and Justin James; siblings, Martha Bowers Odell, Liz Garmon, Lou Slate, Caroline Campbell, Mike Bowers (Frances), Bobby Bowers (Rosemary), and Jimmy Bowers (Karna); grandchildren, Travis Martin, Dylan Martin, and Phillip Martin and many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The family will accept friends for two hours prior to the service.
