Trudi Angel Earles Griffin

Trudi Angel Earles Griffin, age 79 of Ringgold, Virginia passed away August 6, 2024 at Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center in Chatham, Virginia. Mrs. Griffin was born September 16, 1944 in Danville, Virginia to the late Toni Mack and the late Wilford W. Earles. She was married to Gerold Jackson Griffin, Jr.

She was of the Baptist faith and was a Registered Nurse before her retirement. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone that knew her.

In addition to her beloved husband of the residence, she is also survived by three daughters, Janet A. Nunn (Ed) of Danville, VA, Kimberli M. Vernon (Todd) of Richmond, VA, and Connie A. Russell (Lantz) of Winchester, VA; three sons, Kenneth E. Alvis (Leona) of Sumter, SC, Donald W. Alvis of Ringgold, VA, and Gerold G. Griffin “Butch” of Las Vegas, NV; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and one brother, James Richards of Winnabow, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by one brother, Barry Earles.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Service, West End Chapel with Pastor Stephen White officiating. Burial will follow the service at Danville Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.

At other times the family will receive friends and family at the residence.
