Tyler Scott Burford
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tyler Scott Burford on November 25, 2023, at the age of 28, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Born on May 11, 1995, Tyler was the cherished son of Sally Hale and Bryan Burford. He is survived by his mother Sally Hale and stepfather Nathan Hale, as well as his father Bryan Burford and stepmother Lara Burford. Tyler's presence in the lives of his siblings, older sister Mandi Hale, younger sisters Summer Hale, Layla Burford, and Elyse Burford, and younger brother Grayson Burford, was a source of unwavering support and love.
Tyler's grandparents, Nancy Hale, Shelby Burford, Carolyn and William Beckner, and Linda Garraghty, and great-grandmother Fran Arrington, held a special place in his heart. As he journeyed to his eternal resting place, Tyler reunites with his beloved grandfathers, Papa Hale, Papa Mike, and Papa Eddie, in the comforting embrace of heaven.
He leaves behind aunts and uncles, Kimberly Eaton, Christina and Tommy Dale, Scott and Leslie Burford, and Wendy and Ed Pascual, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who were touched by his caring nature.
Tyler had the kindest and most compassionate heart. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to his family and friends in times of need. He adored his brother and four sisters, and his love and dedication to them was evident in every gesture. Tyler found solace and strength in the embrace of his church family, appreciating the unconditional love they always showered upon him.
Despite the challenges he faced, Tyler's infectious smile had a way of melting away any troubles. His ability to turn a difficult moment into a joyful one was a testament to his resilient spirit. Tyler loved spending time with family and friends, swimming at the mill pond, frisbee golf, hunting, fishing, and football.
Tyler had a way of making surprise appearances, and his entrance into a room would light it up with warmth and happiness. His sweet face and gentle demeanor endeared him to everyone he encountered. As we mourn the loss of Tyler Scott Burford, we take solace in the memories of his love, laughter, and the positive impact he had on all our lives.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Tyler Scott Burford will be held at Bethany Methodist Church in Forest, VA, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023 with Pastors Phil Showers and Tom Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery on Waughs Ferry Farm in Monroe, VA. His family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center in Rocky Mount, VA.
