Vanessa Golden Cooper
Vanessa Golden Cooper of Monroe, Virginia was called home to her loving Father on April 6, 2025. She was born July 7,1959 and was 65 years old.
Vanessa fought a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was known affectionately as Neema, Mimi, Nessa, and most importantly Mom. She was a devoted mother who always sacrificed for her loving family.
Vanessa had many passions in her life. She loved traveling along the East Coast spending time at many beaches and gardening. Her favorite past time was spending time with her grandchildren.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Thomas R. Golden and Patricia Golden. Vanessa is survived by her loving husband of 44 years David H. Cooper, her daughter’s Lindsey Orwig (Brad), Trisha McConaghy (Collin), her son Patrick H. G. Cooper (Celina) and her six grandchildren Cooper, Kinsley, Porter, Saylor, Libby and Cam. Sisters Teresa Golden and Jennifer Bell (Ed), brothers Barry (Jackie), Reverend Monsignor Patrick Golden, Dr. R. Kelly Golden (Wendy) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Vanessa devoted 40 years to her family Dental Practice in Madison Heights. She was loved and cherished by her patients and friends over the years.

A Funeral Mass service led by Rev. Monsignor Patrick Golden will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lynchburg Virginia on April 11th at 2:00pm. The family will be available for visitors one hour prior to the ceremony.
