Vickie Olinger Graham

- May 30, 2025

Vickie Kay Olinger Graham, 75, of Longshop, Virginia, entered her heavenly home on May 30, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Conway Olinger and Marguerite Dayne McCoy Olinger, as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws. Vickie was known for her warm, welcoming, contagious smile, and genuine spirit. She had a great affection for the Hokie Nation, supporting students, athletes, faculty, and staff as an employee for more than 55 years. She worked in Civil and Environmental Engineering for 39 years and in Virginia Tech Athletics for more than 16 years, touching the lives of countless people along the way. If you knew Vickie, you know that she never met a stranger. She loved those in her local community, cherished opportunities to share stories, and finding a good bargain. Vickie was a member of the Shiloh Lutheran Church and served as a council member. Vickie treasured her family most of all. She will be deeply missed, but cherished, as her memory lives on in the hearts of her husband, Denson Thomas Graham, of 53 years (but the spark began almost 70 years ago), her sons and daughters-in-laws, Denson Travis Graham and Crystal Smith Graham, Kasey Leddean Graham and Patchouli Emmons Graham, sister and brother-in-law, Terrie Mae Repass and Wayne Repass, nephews Shawn Andrew Brown and Preston Repass, nieces April Dawn Brown Cockram and Jessica Plunkett, sisters-in-laws Deliah McConnell, Juanita Horton, and Angela Shipley, brothers-in-laws Kaywood Graham and Fred Hammond, and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, a very special family of mountain neighbors, and her church family at Shiloh Lutheran Church. And of course, her two grand-puppies, Riley and Remi. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 2:00 pm at the Shiloh Lutheran Church at 5218 Long Shop Rd, Blacksburg, VA, with Minister Martin Paulson officiating. Those wishing to remember Vickie, please consider a gift to the Shiloh Lutheran Church and mail it to the address above. Interment will be at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
