Victoria Dickenson
Victoria Lynn “Vicky” Shelkett Dickenson, age 79, of Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, March 16, 2026 at the Woodlands Health and Rehab Center, Clifton Forge.
She was born October 23, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Luther Norman Shelkett and Catherine Lola Cowger Shelkett. She worked as a waitress for several restaurants, she worked in heavy construction, many factories, worked in police dispatch, was a secretary for Flour Daniels and owned her own flower shop. Vicky was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved all missionaries from the church. (Special thanks to the Covington Branch members who have showed kindness and helped in so many ways.) Vicky was a proud West Virginia hillbilly, and a loving mother and grandmother.
Vicky loved the Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Felicia Lynn Dickenson; a son, James C. Dickenson; and a brother, Luther Norman Shelkett, Jr.
She is survived two daughters, Heather Carballo and Tammy Dickenson; a brother, James Patrick Shelkett; grandchildren, Ashley Dickenson, James Dickenson, Felicia Dickenson, Breanna Dickenson, Megan Hayes, William Elrod, Alexander Carballo, Celina Carballo; great grandchildren, Aydyn McCray, Journey Lynn Dickenson, Gracelynn Dickenson, Kendall Hayes, Brandon Hayes, and Regenna Hayes.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
