Virginia Langston Reynolds Garlick

Virginia Langston Reynolds Garlick, 90 of Bassett, VA passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. She was born on September 27, 1934, in Danville, VA to the late Charlie Ward Reynolds and Macy McNeely Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Garlick; siblings and their spouses, Lottie Reynolds, Nannie Wade Reynolds (Frederick), Aleen Chappell (Gene), J’Nell Oakes (Wyatt), Keren Smith (Herman), Spruce Reynolds (Nilla), Dillard Reynolds (Mamie), Joe Reynolds (Jessie), and Marshall Reynolds (Betty); and brother-in-law, Jack Reynolds.

She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

She is survived by a special niece, Regina Smith Washburn; special nephew, HL Smith; sister, Claire Reynolds, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Joey McNeil officiating. The burial will be held at Reynolds Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) in honor of Virginia and her love of children.
