Virginia Price Saville
With deep love and gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Virginia Claudine Price Saville, devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She passed away on February 13th at the age of 91. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Byrd Saville and parents Lee Allen Price and Pearl Lora Price. She left behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and community. Claudine devoted her life to her family and raising her children while working at the Anaerobe Lab at Virginia Tech. After retiring, she shared her talents by becoming a founding member of the Veterans Memorial Association of Sunnyside-Tom’s Creek located at the Sunnyside Tom’s Creek Memorial Park, Glade Road, Blacksburg, VA. She had deep faith and was a member of the New Mt Zion Lutheran Church. She loved gathering pictures and histories of local churches, schoolhouses and families in the Sunnyside and Tom’s Creek communities. It was a joy for her to share her knowledge of these two communities where she lived and grew up both as a child and adult. She is survived by her children; LaUna and Warren Clark of Pageland, S.C., Norine and Jeff Snider of Christiansburg, VA., Ernestine and Kenneth Brock of Christiansburg, VA., and William and Joi Saville of Caddo Mills, TX; four grandchildren, Kimberly and Brian Miles of Pageland, S.C., Sidnie Saville, Robbie Saville and Tristan Saville of Caddo Mills, TX; three great-grandchildren, Aubreigh Johnson of Charlotte, N.C., Maggie Miles and Morgan Miles of Pageland, S.C.; and two great great-grandchildren, Kalani Green and Khloe Green of Charlotte, N.C. She is also survived by three brothers-in-law: Donald Shephard, Clarence Albert and Donald Saville. She was blessed by many loving family members including two special nieces, Janice Jackson and Teresa Bryan; special cousins, Judy Ridinger, Ronnie Long, Brownie Miller and Christine McCauley; and very special friends, Gloria and Earl Smith, Lylah Shelor, Debbie Caviness and Mary Linkous. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice for the tender care during her short illness. Graveside Services for family, friends and neighbors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2026 at the New Mt Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Sunnyside, VA.
