Vivian Anita Crance
Vivian Anita (Monk) Crance, 83, of Madison Heights, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born in Welch, West Virginia, Vivian was the daughter of the late John Alfred Monk and Genevieve Marie Conner Monk. She was employed with the telephone company for
over 38 years and served in many different positions until her retirement as a Maintenance Administrator. She loved playing bingo with friends and was an avid reader.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Cury Crance; sister, Theresa Monk; brother, Bill; and her two loving furry campanions, Teddy and Wiley. She is survived by her daughter, Tamara Crance Mervine of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Garrett Crance (Katie), Shannon Mervine, and Steven Mervine (Pam); great-grandson, Talon Cooley; brother, Edward Monk (Charlotte); sisters, Joan Compton, Janice Peterson, and Betty Jo Howard (Clinton); sister-in-law, Delores; and very close friend and relative, Dot Shafer.
