Wake Alvin Faw

Wake Alvin Faw, 91, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, October 30, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Annie Faw; son, Ronnie Faw; his loving dog Andy.

Wake is survived by his wife of 73 years, Bobbie C. Faw; children, Robbie Faw and wife Marie, Judy Johnson and husband Dennis, Jeanine Tucker; grandchildren, Micha Faw, Krisha Whiting, Kendra Allyn, Sabrina Faw, Ashley Faw, Robert Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Logan Tucker, Sydney Tucker; sister Hallalene Brown; brother, Ralph Faw; special niece Glenda Perdue; as well as numerous other family and friends.

Wake was a 50 year member of the Lakeland Masonic Lodge, served as Worshipful Master, a member of Kazim Shrine as well as a member emeritus of the Klown Unit. He also was a charter member of The Weber High 12 and past Worthy Patron of Electa #33 OES. He came to Roanoke through a truck for 65 years with Russell Transfer, Abbott Bus Lines, and Ryder.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Wake’s name to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
