Walsie Laymon Webber

Walsie Laymon Webber, 75, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Born October 2, 1949, in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late James Edward Webber and Bessie Mae Webber.

Walsie was a man of many passions, including hunting, gambling, and cheering for his favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings. He had a special love for good food—especially ice cream—and cherished every moment spent with his family and close friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his three brothers: Preston Webber, James "Eddie" Webber, and Donnie Webber.

Walsie leaves behind a loving family, including his two daughters, Janet Lynn Nuckles and Patricia Lynn Webber; his sister, Bettie Wright; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dear friends Kenny Clay, Greg Hall, Dennis Windsor, Luther Johns, and Roger Wright.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating Walsie's life on Friday, January 17, 2025. Visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Amazing Grace Ministries, followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Mike Dodson.
