Wanda Ferrell Parker

Wanda Ferrell Parker was born June 28, 1933 in Botetourt County.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Fulton Parker; parents, Paris Randolph and Nolia Austin Ferrell; sister Thelma F. Deel; niece Beth Deel; and nephew William Deel.

Wanda is survived by her nephews, Randy, Jim, and John Deel.

She graduated from Fincastle High School, Radford College (now university) and Florida State University. Wanda taught home economics at Maywood (Craig County) and Colonial High School. She retired from Virginia Tech Extension Service as a home economics agent. She worked in Giles County, City of Virginia Beach, and Fauquier County.

Wanda has lived at The Glebe since August 2005.

A graveside service will be held in Pleasant Dale Memorial Park on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 10:00 am.
