Wesley Adam Scott

February 5, 1994 - April 29, 2025

Wesley Adam Scott, known affectionately as Wes to all who knew and loved him, left this world on April 29, 2025, at the age of 31, after a valiant battle with kidney disease. Born on February 5, 1994, in Roanoke, Virginia, Wesley's zest for life and infectious spirit were evident from the start. His journey on Earth may have concluded in Salem, Virginia, but his legacy of love, laughter, and resilience endures.

Wesley was the cherished son of John H. Scott Jr. and the late Evelyn M. Tingler. He was the beloved twin brother of Amber S. Buchanan and the devoted fiancé to Kasey Gunter, the love of his life. His four beautiful children, McKinna Scott (6), Gage Scott, (5) Asher Scott (3) and Danikka Seaman (15) were the heart of his world. Wesley's passing was preceded by his doting grandparents, Betty Jane and William M. Turner, whose values and joy for life were deeply instilled in him.

Wesley's interests painted the picture of a man who lived fully and loved deeply. He was a loving father whose greatest delight was in the laughter and achievements of his children. He and Kasey shared a bond of strong love and companionship.

The call of the great outdoors was one that Wesley answered with enthusiasm. He was a man who found serenity in the rustle of leaves and the quiet patience of fishing, a pastime that saw him through many of life's trials and triumphs. His passion for hunting was more than a hobby; it was a connection to the earth and a tradition passed down through generations. Nature was his happy place.

Music was a refuge and a joy for Wesley. The classic oldies that filled the car on family drives with his dad and sister were not just melodies; they were the soundtrack of his life, evoking memories of simpler times and the bonds of family.

Wesley's artistic talents were a window into his soul. His ability to draw and sketch anything he attempted was not just a skill but a form of expression. His creativity was a gift that came naturally.

Perhaps one of Wesley's most endearing qualities was his playful sense of humor. He knew that laughter was a balm for the spirit, and he wielded it with precision, brightening the darkest of days and lifting the spirits of all who were fortunate enough to be in his presence.

In life, Wesley Adam Scott taught us that the measure of a man is not found in the years he lives but in the love he gives and the courage with which he faces each day. He showed us that joy can be found in the simplest of things and not to take things for granted.

As we celebrate Wesley's life, let us carry forward his indomitable spirit, his love for life, and his ability to find happiness in every moment. Let us honor his memory by embracing the beauty of the world as he did, with open arms and a heart full of love. Wesley's story is a reminder that every day is a gift, and it is up to us to make the most of it, just as he did.

Farewell, Wesley, until we meet again. Your light shines on in the lives of those you touched, a beacon of love, laughter, and the enduring human spirit. We love you forever and always.
