Wilhelmina Lorraine Foster

Wilhelmina L. Foster, 82, of Martinsville, Virginia, entered into her eternal life on Thursday, September 11, 2025. She was born September 1, 1943, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late William S. Foster and Sophia E. Foster.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Foster Winfield.

Wilhelmina was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsville, Virginia and loved God and all his servants. She attended Albert Harris High School and attended Virginia Union University, Richmond, Virginia, received her BA from Eastern Michigan University, her MS from Radford University, and her PhD from Madison University. Wilhelmina had a passion for teaching and was appreciated by her students. She found great joy spending time with those she loved and passed that along to all her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Maria Betts-Moody; sons, Raymond Blair Randolph, III, Dr. William Churchill Randolph (Veraine), and David Alexander Randolph

(Felecia), brother; George H. Foster; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be held a half-hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church at 2700 Soapstone Rd, Ridgeway, VA 24148.
