William Allen Heldreth

WILLIAM ALLEN HELDRETH, 79, of the Kimberling Community of Bland, VA, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025. He was born July 27, 1946 in Bluefield, VA, the son of the late Allen & Mary Heldreth.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a truck driver and retired from Flowers Bakery after many years of service.

He was kind, gentle and humorous. He was always laughing and could find humor in everything.  He enjoyed tinkering on anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Clifford & Mary Lucy McCracken Heldreth,  his daughter,  Michelle Heldreth, his brothers, Danny Heldreth, Ted Heldreth and Tommy Heldreth, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clovis & Katrina Wilburn and his sister-in-law, Darlene Wilburn.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 38 years, Carla Wilburn Heldreth; his daughter, Angela Wimmer; his grandson, Billy Wimmer; his brothers & sisters-in-law, Bobby & Linda Heldreth, Jimmy & Emma Heldreth and Doris Heldreth; his sisters, Rita Bishop and Melba Williams; his sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Donna & Albert Nunn; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.

Per Bill’s wishes, he will be cremated. There will be celebration gathering and time of visitation at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
