William David Ingles

William David Ingles, age 87, of Roanoke, Virginia, formerly a long-time resident of Dublin, VA, passed away on December 24, 2024.

Born in Pulaski County, VA on November 25, 1937, he was the son of the late Thomas Ingles and Margaret Hurst Ingles Allison. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Ingles. He graduated from Dublin High School in 1955 and then attended Hargrave Military Academy. He worked for Western Electric/AT&T and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle Ingles; his three children from a previous marriage, Teresa Ingles All and husband Todd, Walter David Ingles and wife Jacklyn, and William Jordan Ingles and wife Kelly; brother, Walter M. Allison and wife Joy of Florida; sister-in-law, Beverly B. Ingles of North Carolina; and special cousin, Mary Cristey and husband Don of Miami, Fl. Bill loved and was proud of his grandchildren, Melissa Viet, Jonathan Branson, Ian Branson, Austin Ingles, and Noah Campbell. He also had many great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.

A private funeral service will be graveside at Highland Memory Garden in Dublin, VA.
