William Eugene White

William Eugene “Gene” White, age 72, of Madison Heights, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025. He was the husband of the late Nancy Mae Estis White.

Born in Lynchburg on February 19, 1953, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson White, Sr. and Leona Hendricks White. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Woodrow Wilson White, Jr. and Jerry Lee White.

Gene retired from Hepler Paving, and prior to that, he worked for many years at Simplimatic Automation. In his free time, he loved spending quiet days fishing—especially trout fishing, which brought him great joy.

He is survived by his nephew, Cory Lee White (Janice); two nieces, Kimberly White and Candace White; his sister-in-law, Dian F. White, and his dear friends, Hector, Donna, and Taylor Rodriguez.

At his request, no formal services will be scheduled. His ashes will be inurned next to his beloved wife.
