William "Gene" Eugene Colston

William Eugene “Gene” Coltson, 72, of Bassett, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born March 26, 1951, in Martinsville, to the late William Mayford Colston and Mabel Brummett Colston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Colston, and his son Scott Colston.

Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Kathy Fowler Colston, his daughter Dennise Colston, and his granddaughter Emma Warren. He is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

A viewing will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Fort Trial Christian Church. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 11am at Roselawn Burial Park. Pastor Danny Hart will officiate.
