William Henry Matthews

William Henry Matthews, 68, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. He was born April 3, 1954, in Henry County to the late Connie Matthews and Rhubena Nance Carter. He was of the Apostolic faith. William enjoyed fishing, watching games, making others laugh and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Claudette Millner and Hazel Matthews; brothers, Edward Matthews and Jerome Matthews.

He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Hairston; sisters, Doretha Smith, Mary Clements and Brenda Holland; brothers, Joe and Wendell Matthews and one grandchild.
