William L. Moore

William "Bill" Lee Moore Jr., 53, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Stanleytown Health & Rehab. He was born on April 27, 1970, to William Lee Moore Sr. and Betty Martin Moore. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Leslie and Mary Etta Moore, and maternal grandparents, Harry M. and Hattie Martin.

Bill was a graduate of Bassett High School. He was a humble and kindhearted person, even in his pain. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

Bill is survived by his parents, his sister, Sharon Moore, and several cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be Monday, September 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel in Bassett, with Elder Lowell Hopkins and Elder Carlton Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral services at the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, and at other times at the home of his sister. A burial will follow immediately after the service at the Martin Family Cemetery.
