William "Stacy" Carter

August 10, 1967 - February 9, 2025

William “Stacy” Carter, 57, was born August 10, 1967, in Mt. Vernon, New York to the late Nick Miouzzi and Ada Carter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Brandon Gill.

Stacy was a member of True Bread Worship Center and a graduate of Martinsville High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he became a Sergeant. He was very proud and honored to serve his country. Stacy worked as a floor sales manager at Berglund Automotive Group, he worked as a manager for Corporate Verizon, he was also a sales and floor manager at Jim Mills Nissan, and branch manager at Suntrust Bank in Roanoke.

His talents and hobbies were many, he collected watches, wallets and Jerseys. He loved music and was a talented drummer/percussionist, one of the best in the area. Stacy was a wiz at jeopardy. He played semi pro football and was a football coach just to name a few. He was a die hard fan of the NY Yankees and LA Raiders. He loved watching movies, traveling and dining at fine restaurants. Stacy was a very giving man with a heart of gold. He was very intelligent with a wealth of knowledge that he was always sharing with those that needed his expert advice in all subject matters. His absolute favorite thing to do was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and the love of his life, Stephanie.

He is survived by his soulmate and love of his life, Stephanie Easley; sons, Jamel Carter (Tabitha), Eric Carter, Bradley Gill, Dorian Harris; sister, Semeka Hairston; brothers, Frank Carter, Lyndon Carter; grandchildren, Teagan Beam, Mia Lopez Gill, Christian Carter, Reina Lopez Gill, Kaia Carter, Chloe Gill Lopez, Brylee Gill, Keanu Carter, Josiah Gill, and Zachary Prichard; mother-in-love and caregiver, Linda Green; in-laws, Trekeyta Easley and Aree Easley; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends; special friends/brothers, Brian Hundley, Byron Carter, Joe Tuttle, Carlos Fuller, Corey Toler, Kevin Dendy, Shannon Spencer, Omar Jamison, and Lee Hancock.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be private.
