Mrs. Willie Mae Hairston Morris, age 88 of West Haven, Connecticut transitioned on May 29, 2023 peacefully at her home.Mrs. Morris was born on July 28, 1934 in Bassett, Virginia to Cephus Biglow Hairston and Vivian Ingram Reynolds Hairston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Jackson Morris and daughter, Isola Morris-Stokes.Mrs. Morris is survived by her children, son, Swanie E. Morris and daughter, Effie Morris-Ferguson (John) and a host of grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Morris-Hairston Family Cemetery, 2300 Willie Craig Road, Bassett, VA.
