Wyatt T. Palmer
Wyatt Palmer, 69, of Salem, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
Wyatt was a master carpenter for 45 years, a trade he took great pride in and one that reflected his strong work ethic and skilled hands. Outside of work, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, browsing flea markets and Goodwill, and enjoying a cup of coffee at Waffle House. Above all, Wyatt cherished time spent with his family, especially his daughter McKensey and his beloved grandson, Carter, who brought him endless happiness.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie; father, Glovern; brothers, Woodrow, Lonnie, and Rallis; sister, Chiquita; daughters, Amanda and Megan; son, Bruce; grandsons, Colten II and Charlie; father-in-law, Douglas Janney; and his beloved dog, Rosy.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, McKensey Gamon; his platonic partner, Wendy Janney; step sons, Justin Janney , Ryan Janney , and his wife Kristin Janney; son-in-law, Emmanuel Gamon; grandson, Carter Gamon; brother, Shannon; and sisters, Jeanna and Jannette.
The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
