Ynema Jane Blankenship Davis
YNEMA JANE DAVIS, 79, of Bland, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Bland Health & Rehab. She was born December 6, 1946 in Giles County, VA, the daughter of the late David Harold, Sr., & Creasie May Dalton Blankenship.
Jane was a homebody who enjoyed crossword puzzles and talking on the phone with her friends. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy every evening. She loved all flowers.
She was a caregiver to many people over the years. She cared about others over herself. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and she will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Besides by her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Teddy Donald Davis, her son, Teddy Brent Davis, her brothers, Ricky Blankenship, Larry Blankenship and Jerry Blankenship and her sister, Glenda Blankenship, her brothers-in-law, Tommy McGuire, Willie Davis, Johnny Davis, Glenn Davis and Raymond Davis and her sister-in-law, Linda Harden.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons & daughters-in-law, Greg & Liwana Davis and Glenn Ray, Sr. & Janie Davis; her grandchildren, Glenn Ray Davis, Jr., Harley Davis, Megan & Brian Owen, Gary Austin & Danielle Davis and India & George Rodriguez; her great-grandchildren, Connor, Bryson, Carlie, Damien, Syvia and Ethan; her siblings, Catherine McGuire, David Blankenship, Revonna & Gus Shepherd, Vinia Davis and Janet & Matt Clemons; special niece and nephew who she and Teddy raised, Mandy Clemons and Jeremy Blankenship; her best friend, Nancy Bralley and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Pastor Ira Buchanan officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until service time, 4:00 P.M.
Because of inclement weather, she will be buried in Morning Star Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Jane’s honor directly to A. Vets & Sons Funeral Home, 2508 Walkers Creek Valley Rd., Pearisburg, VA 24134, to help offset funeral expenses.
