Zachary Kendall Adams
Mr. Zachary Kendall Adams, 25, of Mount Airy, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Mr. Adams was born in Forsyth County to David Adams and Karen Adams Jolley.Zach possessed a contagious smile and a warmth that made others feel instantly at ease. Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, he selflessly helped others and was the kind of person who would give a stranger the shirt off his back. Loyal to his friends and devoted to those he loved, he was someone people could always count on and left a lasting impact on all who knew him. A proud graduate of North Surry High School and Western Carolina University, he carried his determination, humor, and compassion into every chapter of his life. He found joy in the simple pleasures of casting a line on the water or spending time on the golf course, and making memories with friends and family.He had a special love for his bulldogs, Kujo, Kate, and Gus, who were constant companions and a source of great happiness in his life. Above all, he was a cherished son, a loving brother, and a true friend. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and light to those around him, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Though gone from this world, his kindness, his laughter, and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Karen Adams Jolley and Joe; his father and stepmother, David Adams and Sunshine; a brother, Gabe Adams; three sisters, Finley Jolley, Jessie, and Jolene Adams; a brother, Kyle Adams; three aunts, Tiffany Hiatt and Mark, Cynthia Johnson, Donna Decker, and Don; an uncle, Darian Johnson and Becky; a maternal grandmother, Rachel Hutchens and Mike; a maternal grandfather, James Johnson; step grandfather, Burton Jolley; step grandmother, Cheryl Haynes; step-great-grandmother, Dorothy McCann; as well as a special niece, many cousins, and a host of friends.Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lucille Puckett Riggans.A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Pastor James Collins and Pastor Jay Worsley officiating. Interment will follow in the New Life Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Moody Funeral Home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Zach’s honor to the North Surry High School Band, 2440 West Pine Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
