Claudine Frances Caldwell

Claudine Frances Caldwell, 80, of Vinton, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Julius Caldwell; husband, Beauford Caldwell; and brother, Len Dews.

Claudine was a gambler. She loved playing the lottery and going to Rosie’s where she often won, but according to her family, you would never know because she often kept her winnings a secret until tax time. Claudine was also a long-time employee at Famous Anthony’s becoming a fan favorite server over her 20 years by giving out candy to all her customers and co-workers.

Left to cherish her memory, are her children, Jimmy Williamson (Barbara), Donald Williamson, Lisa Hodges (JD), Josh Williamson (Victoria) and Travis Williamson; grandchildren, John Snyder (Jessica), Tommy Williamson (Marlana), Jessica Tickle, Casey D’Alessandro (Frank), and Taylor Carter; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Enid Wilson and Charlene Stump (Enis); and a very special friend, Luci Clay.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 PM and 6 until 8 PM on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Lotz Funeral Home Vinton. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Friday, August 22, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Harold Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Per Claudine’s request, please wear jeans and t-shirts to her service, no suits!
