Steve Howard Blunt
Steve Howard Blunt, 47, of Appomattox, Virginia, peacefully entered his eternal home with the Lord on July 13, 2026.
Born on August 3, 1978, in Easton, Maryland, Steve was the beloved son of Charles Howard Blunt, Jr. of Milford, DE and Argatha Louvinia Cook of Appomattox, VA. He was a devoted father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose love for his family and faith in God touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Following his graduation, Steve proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. His military service reflected the courage, commitment, and selflessness that remained evident throughout his life.
Steve was a man of faith and attended both Prospect Gospel Tabernacle and Appomattox Assembly of God Church. He found great comfort and strength in reading his Bible, a daily practice that was one of the most important parts of his life. His unwavering faith carried him through life's many challenges and served as an inspiration to those around him.
He enjoyed spending time fishing, relaxing while watching television, and, above all else, making memories with his family. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or quiet moments together, Steve treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by those he loved.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his daughters, Destinee Marie Blunt and Sarah Leann Page; brothers, Brian Lee Blunt and wife, Lisa, and Anthony Arnold Blunt and wife, Megan; his beloved grandmother, Annie Lee Jackson; grandchildren, William Page, Zishawn Pennix, and Zavier Pennix.
He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Kayla King, Brady Blunt, Kinsey Blunt, Alyssa Blunt, and Miyah Blunt, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Steve was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arnold Lee Jackson of Pamplin, VA, and his nephew, Anthony Alexander Blunt of Appomattox, VA.
Steve faced many difficult health challenges with remarkable courage and determination. His family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many nurses, caregivers, physicians, therapists, and healthcare professionals who cared for him with compassion, kindness, and dignity during the times he fought his hardest battles. Your dedication and support brought comfort not only to Steve but also to those who loved him most.
Although Steve's earthly journey has come to an end, his legacy of faith, love, perseverance, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His family finds peace in knowing that he is now free from pain and rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
