Eddie C. Barbour, Jr.

Eddie C. Barbour, Jr., 82, of Stuart, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 13, 2022.  He was born in on October 13, 1939 to the late Eddie C. Barbour, Sr. and the late Mattie Hairston Barbour.  He was also prece3ded in death by his wife, Edna Wimbush Barbour; two sisters, Lucy Via, Corene Street and two brothers, Belton Barbour and Colonel Hayes Barbour.
He is survived by his children, Edna Laverne, Tyrone Barbour and Sonya Hairston; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Iowa Barbour Joyce and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 18, 2022 from 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service chapel where the funeral will follow at 1:00 PM.   Burial will follow in the Iron Belt Christian Church Cemetery.
Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
