Ruth Taylor Greer

Ruth Taylor Greer, 77, of Bassett, died Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Reston Hospital Center.  She was born in Montcalm, West Virginia on May 26, 1944 to the late James and Mildred Hill Taylor.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry T. Greer; two brothers, Johnny Taylor and Jerry Taylor; a sister, Linda Lilly.
She was a member of the County Line Church of Good of Prophecy Church. 
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey W. Severt (Sherri); a daughter, Christina A. Severt; step-son, Jerry Clayton Greer (Stephanie); four grandchildren, Emily Severt (Troy), Makenna Dyer (Dakota), Hunter Hundley, Timothy Powers; three great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Emery and Brooklyn; two brothers, Lonnie Taylor and James Taylor.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where the funeral will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jason Callahan officiating.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Woodlawn Memorial Park, 3410 Coal Heritage Road, Bluefield, WV.
