Curtis Lee Tilley

Curtis Lee Tilley, 90, of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Roanoke Carilion Memorial Hospital. He was born January 14, 1934, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Thomas Noel Tilley and Myrtle Via Tilley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Tilley Carmichael.

Curtis was a member of the National Guard for thirty-one years and a member of the Fieldale Ruritan Club. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing golf and deep-sea fishing in his spare time.

Curtis is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Tilley Manetz (Charles), sons; Keith Tilley and David Tilley (Glenda); sisters, JoAnn Norman, Dale Norman; grandchildren, Jeanelle Doby, Michelle Hamdy, Darnelle Baker, and Conner Lee Tilley; great grandchildren, Cailin Doby, Camden Doby, Gavin Hamlett, Jasmyn Hamlett Madelyn Baker, Paxton Baker and Edyn Baker.

The funeral will be Friday, February 2, 2024, in the Wright Funeral Services Chapel at 2:00 PM. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 4410 Stones Dairy Road, Bassett, Virginia.
