Alice Faye Stickland Bunker Draughn

Mrs. Alice Faye Strickland Bunker Draughn, age 86, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Airy. She was born on February 11, 1938 in Carroll County Virginia to the late John and Pearl Edwards Strickland. Mrs. Draughn owned and operated Fay’s Drapery from the 70’s until her retirement. Mrs. Draughn had a very special love for all her fur baby’s over the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 22 years, Lonnie Miller Draughn; daughter, Bridgette Bunker; son, Sandy Bunker (Rhonda); grandchildren, Austin Rideout, Paige Rideout (Chase), and Marlee Tolbert (Jarred); great-grandchild, Eden Tolbert; sister, Shirley Thomas (Clayton); brothers, Randall Strickland (Tonda), Johnny Strickland, D.A. Strickland (Connie). In addition to her parents Mrs. Draughn was preceded in death by her first husband, Scott Bunker, and a sister, Patsy Strickland. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with service conducted by Rev. Wallace Cole. The family would like to send a special thanks to her special caregiver, Alledia Hess; Mountain Valley Hospice, Center Well Health care, and Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center for all the support and care given to Mrs. Draughn and her family.
