Allene S. Bouldin

Allene Bouldin, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the age of 94.

Allene was born on July 7, 1928, to the late Curtis Sullivan and Danie Reddick in Woods, Fla. Her family later relocated to Kissimmee, Fla., where she met the love of her life, John William Bouldin. The couple married in 1946 and resided in Virginia most of their married life.

Evident to all that knew her, Allene’s greatest joy and service in life was her family. Her loving memory will live on through her six children, thirteen grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John William Bouldin; twin sister, Pauline Winfrey; brothers, Daniel Sullivan and Van Dewey Sullivan; grandson, Gregory Keaton; and one great-granddaughter, Heather Keaton. She is survived by her children, Carey Keaton (David), Allen Asa Bouldin (Dianne), Gwendolyn Faye Howell (Rodney), Susie Judd (Tim), Tammy Jackson (Rickey), and Lena Wagoner (Wayne).

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 14 at 2:00pm at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel in Bassett, Va., with a visitation preceding at 12:00pm. Burial will follow the funeral service in Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery.
