Amy Welch
Amy Leigh Welch was born May 26,1976 and left this world on August 18, 2026. She lived a life defined by devotion—to family, to friendship, and to quiet moments that mattered.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn, all of her grandparents, an uncle, Craig, two aunts, Jackie and Tina a beloved cousin, Rachel and David, her first step dad, each of whom helped shape the strong and compassionate person she became.
Amy was the proud mother of three children, Brandon, Meghann and Wyatt and the adoring grandmother of three grandchildren, Shiloh, Aaron and Henry who were the absolute center of her world. If love alone could sustain a life, she would have lived forever through them.
For fourteen years, Amy dedicated herself to Roanoke Partners in Health, her second family. Her reliability, care, and deep sense of responsibility reflected her belief that people matter—and details matter even more. She showed up, stayed steady, and did the work that needed to be done and never left “crumbs” behind.
Outside of work, Amy found joy in simple, meaningful pleasures: a good book, a cup of hot tea, long hikes, her “counseling sessions” and music that moved her soul. She loved concerts—not just the sound, but the shared experience of being fully present with others.
To her friends, Amy was more than a friend—she was the ride-or-die. Not only for them, but for their children too. She was the listener, the secret keeper, the safe place. The one you called knowing your truth would be held with loyalty, humor, and grace.
Amy’s life was one of quiet strength, deep listening, and fierce love. She leaves behind a legacy of trust, warmth, and unwavering presence that will live on in everyone lucky enough to have known her.
