Andrew Critton Mccoy

Andrew Critton McCoy, age 79, of Christiansburg died, Saturday, May 23, 2026, at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, Va., on November 1, 1946, to the late Aubrey Carl and Beatrice Moses McCoy. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Jones McCoy, brothers, Larry McCoy, and Charlie “Buster” Carroll, an infant brother, Barry McCoy, and step-mother, Lourine McCoy. Andy was an auto body repairman in the New River Valley for many years. He enjoyed old western shows and country music. He was a very kind, generous, and loving person. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law; Melinda and Steve Slusser, Holly and Scot Hughes; stepdaughter and son in law, Sherry and Cliff Compton; stepson and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Shelby Jones; grandchildren, Matthew McCoy (Shannon), Billy Graham, Harlie Clinch (Jeremy), Ethan Slusser (Michelle), Skyler Hughes, Samantha Hughes, Sage Hughes, and Scarlet Hughes; step-grandchildren, Tera Compton, Karen Buchholz (Josh); special caregiver and granddaughter, Tammy Walker; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Anita Reed (Rick); brother, Todd McCoy (Connie); and friend and caregiver, Keith Brookman. A private family service will be held.
