Andrew Tyrone Perkins
Andrew “Tyrone” Perkins, 60, of Lynchburg, VA, went to his heavenly home on July 6, 2026 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.
Andrew was born in Martinsville, VA on November 12, 1965, a son of the late Doris Perkins of Martinsville, VA.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a close friend in heaven, Dana Pettie.
Andrew enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed his family and friends, spending time with them and talking to them on the phone for hours. He enjoyed fishing, shooting and hunting. He was a “big” Dallas Cowboys fan. Andrew was a machinist by trade and enjoyed helping or lending a hand to anyone in need. Andrew had a brief stint in the United States Coast Guard and completed college with a degree in Blueprinting.
Andrew leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Cynthia Perkins; two daughters, Aisha Perkins and Tenesha Perkins both of Lynchburg, VA; three amazing grandchildren, Angel and Trae Wallace and Rhani Miller all of Lynchburg, VA; one brother, Benjamin Perkins of Indiana; two sisters, Shannon Clark (Chris) of Hawaii and Kimbrulae (Paula) Martin of Martinsville, VA; two special brothers-in-law, William McKenzie of Axton, VA and Alfred McKenzie of Staunton, VA; a host of nieces and nephews that he enjoyed spending time with when he could; and his special longtime friends, Dean Callahan, Randy Moore, Barry Hairston, Maurice Draper and Bill Hopkins.
Whitten Timberlake Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements, however the family will have a private memorial for “Tyrone” and anyone with any questions regarding the service should contact the family directly.
