Anne Koethcke

Anne Newton White Koethcke, age 81, of 1708 Jefferson Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, May 10, 2024 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor, Virginia.
Anne was born on November 17, 1942 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late James Newton and Esther Nason White. She received her Bachelor Degree in Education from the University of Mississippi, and also attended Hendrix College. She taught school for Alleghany Highlands Public Schools. She was active in the Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center, was a member of the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church and the Delta Kappa Gamma teachers sorority, and a former member of the Twilight Garden Club and Clifton Forge Main Street. She loved reading and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Milton Koethcke.
She is survived by a nephew, Maben Koethcke and a great niece, Jill Osborne, as well as a host of friends in the Alleghany Highlands community.
In keeping with her wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge at a later date.
