Anthony Lamont Hairston

Anthony Lamont Hairston, 55, of Martinsville, Virginia, transitioned to his heavenly home Saturday, June 7, 2025. He was born July 15, 1969, in Martinsville, Virginia to Vanessa Hairston Waller (Alfred) and Howard Cole.

Anthony was a member of the Galilean House of Worship and a graduate of Laurel Park High School, Class of 1987. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Tech Sergeant. He was a dedicated employee of Goodyear Manufacturing for more than twenty-two years where he worked as a machine operator. In his free time, you could find him enjoying a Cowboy’s football game, playing games with family and friends, and keeping those around him in laughter. His greatest treasure was the love he had for his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Jordan Hairston, Kaia Hairston, Aubrey Hairston; son, Anthony Lamont Hairston, II; sisters, Catina Waller, Shakira Coles; brothers, Keith Waller, Tracy Hairston, Jerry Hall; grandchildren, Journi Parker, Josiah Parker, and Cherish Hairston; dedicated and loving friend, Monica Ross.

The funeral will be Monday, June 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Bishop Michael Penn officiating. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park. Military Honors will be presented by The Martinsville & Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
