Arlie Marion

Mr. Arlie Marion, 89 of Bassett, VA, passed away on Monday evening April 14, 2025, at Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Martinsville, VA. He was born March 24, 1936, in Surry County to the late Riley and Nora Gillespie Marion. Arlie retired from Bassett Furniture after several years of service. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Louise Bryant Marion of the home; special friend, Wallie Mae Hutchens; several nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends. In addition to his parents, Arlie was preceded in death by five sisters, Roxie Ann Marion Badgett, infant Dolly Marion, Bessie Catherine Marion Hutchens, Dorothy Alice Marion Barker, and Betty Alma Marion Brown; and by four brothers, Charles Ellis Marion, Dallas Lee Marion, Glenn Elvin Marion, and Herman Edward Marion. Graveside services will be held on Friday April 18, 2025, at 11:00am in the Union Hill Friends Meeting Cemetery. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
