Arthur Dean Moses Obituary Dean “Deano” Moses, age 58, of Salem, Va., went fishing in heaven on Saturday, September 14, 2024. He was born on February 18, 1966, to Charlotte Moses and the late Ronald H. Moses.Dean worked at McCoy’s Auto in Fairlawn, VA. When he wasn't elbow-deep in an engine, he was out doing concrete work.In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ron Moses; son, Brandon Moses; and nephew, Joey Moses.He was a loving and supportive husband to Cindy Moses; children, Kenny Moses (Alicia) and Tenasian Duncan (Dustin), a role he cherished above all else, except maybe his Harley. He was the adored grandpa to Xander Moses, Kallie Higginbotham, Ella Moses, Khole Higginbotham, Harlow Duncan, and Kaden Higginbotham. Deano's world revolved around those grandkids, and he taught them the important things in life, like how to bait a hook! He is also survived by his step-son, Shane Higgenbotham (Cheyane); and step-daughter, Cheyenne Rose (David); sister, Teresa Moses; and his brother, Keith Moses; niece, Rickiel Moses; and a host of nieces and nephews.Dean's love for life and his family remains a testament to the man who could find joy in the simplest things.For those who knew him, the memory of Dean will forever be accompanied by the roar of a Harley, the splash of a fishing line, and the warmth of the sun on your face as you remember his infectious laughter.
