Ashley Shareef

Ashley Shaunte Smith Shareef 39, of Roanoke, VA transitioned suddenly on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at her home. She was born in Martinsville, VA, a daughter of Terry and Lena Smith Dillard on October 18, 1986.

She was a 2004 graduate of Magna Vista High School and was employed by Advance Auto in Roanoke as a customer care representative. She also attended Refuge Temple Ministries.

Loved ones to cherish her memory include her husband, Hakeem Shareef, of the home; her parents, both of Martinsville, VA; four daughters, Amirah, and Aniyah Shareef, both of Roanoke, VA; Jadyn and Adrienne Smith both of Martinsville, VA; two sons, Xavier and Isaiah Shareef both of Roanoke, VA; three sisters, Shamika and Tiffany Dillard, both of Martinsville, VA; and Terri Rone, of Fieldale, VA; mother-in-law; Mae Shareef, of Ridgeway, VA; father-in-law, Ramzee Shareef, of Jarrett, VA;

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nyeama Shareef; one sister, Brittaney Dillard, Maternal grandparents; Joe Nathan and Myra Manns and paternal grandparents, Bobbie and Helen Dillard.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services Chapel with Elder Alfred Eccles, eulogist. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Roanoke, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home of her mother, 902 Independence Dtive, Martinsville, VA at other times.

A public viewing will be held Monday, May 25, 2026 from 1:00 to 5:00 Pm at Hines Funeral Services.
