Austin Lee Byrd, 21, of Axton, Virginia, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024. He was born July 10, 2002, in Mebane, North Carolina, to Chris Byrd and the late Melissa Black Byrd.Austin was a dedicated landscaper with Ray Wood Landscape Center for four years. He loved music, flowers, cooking his favorite meals, and decorating his home. Austin loved his family and doing anything outdoors.In addition to his father, he is survived by fiancé, William D. Childs; sister, Jada Cates; brothers, Christopher Byrd and Devin Cates.All services will be private.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
