William McKinley “Bill” Pugh
William McKinley “Bill” Pugh 86 of Roanoke formerly of Floyd County went to be with his wife Juanita on Friday March 15, 2019.
Mr. Pugh served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was Manager at Magic City Ford Used Car Department for many many years before retiring and running his own dealership the Kar Korral on Williamson Road, Roanoke. He was also a Master Mason of Lakeland Masonic Lodge 190, Roanoke. During his spare time, he loved to putter and garden on his farm in Copper Hill. A very loving father, brother, and friend who is going to be missed by all.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Debra Layman and husband Jon of Roanoke, Pamela Hatter and husband Matthew of Troutville; sisters, Mary Board and husband Allen of Roanoke, Kathryn Naff of Ohio; his best companion, Banks Conner of Roanoke; brother and sisters-in-law, Wesley and Evelyn Conner of Roanoke, and Louise Conner. Along with a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society in Mr. Pugh’s name.
A funeral service will be 11:00am Monday March 18, 2019 at Simpson Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Austin officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Sunday March 17, 2019 from 5:00-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home. Condolences may be left for the family at www.simpsonfuneral.com.
