Lucy Draper Millner

Lucy Draper Millner, known to family and friends as "Mama Ann", 88, of Martinsville, transitioned on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Martinsville. She was born August 28, 1933 in Spencer, VA to the late Henry Clay and Henrietta Hayes Draper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Robert Millner; sisters, Gracie Clay, Henrietta Mattie Draper, Josephine Draper, Sarah Lou Draper and Margaret Watkins; and brothers, Henry Clay Draper, Jr., Leonard Draper, David Draper and Maurice Hylton.
She attended Carver High School. She worked at Stanley Furniture where she retired after 30 years of Service. She was an active member of Antioch Christian Church (DOC) and served as a choir member, Usher Board, Disciple Women's Fellowship member and Sunday School Superintendent.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory two daughters, Mary D. Carrington of Henrico and Gracie Millner, of Martinsville; thre sons, Leonard Millner, Joseph Millner and Johnny Millner, all of Martinsville, VA; sister, Patty D. Preston of Martinsville, VA; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services Chapel with Bishop Lorenzo Hall, presiding and Rev. Eugene Reynolds, eulogist. Interment will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home of a son (Johnny) 1083 Meadowood Trail, Martinsville, VA at other times.
