Cynthia Bowles Shively

Cynthia Bowles Shively, 63, of Bassett, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Sovah of Martinsville. She was born in Patrick County on March 20, 1959 to the late Frank Bowles and the late Weldeamer Cassady Bowles. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey D. Shively, Sr.; daughter, Jennifer Marie Shively and sister, Susan Marie Dunford.
She was a 1977 Bassett High School graduate and she worked as a customer service representative.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, David H. Shively, Jr. and grandsons, Jeffrey David Shively, Jr., Chase Shively and Jayden Shively.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where a funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Deisher and Pastor Clyde Helton will officiating. The burial will follow the funeral service at Bowles Family Cemetery.
Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
