Joshua Dreshawn "No Lackin" Smith

Joshua Dreshawn Smith (aka) "No Lackin" beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend, passed from this life on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the age of 23. He was born in Charlotte, NC on July 29, 1998.

He is survived by his parents, Amy Robinson; step-father, Cory Robinson of Roanoke; father, Shawndria and wife Leticia Smith of Charlotte; daughter, Leah Smith and Leah's mother, Deanna Thomason; brothers, Adrian Hyde, Elijah Robinson, Josiah Hyde, Alexander Hyde, Jayden Smith, Saadiah Clore, Adolphus Zimmerman, James Zimmerman, Michael Velez, and Travis Carter; sisters, Brianna Hyde, Abigail and Giovanna Smith, Zaraida Irizarry; grandparents, David and Sharon Hyde; Garrett (deceased) and Delores Cathey of Charlotte; and many more family members,aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Joshua worked in the construction industry. His passion was making and recording music. You could always find hm dropping a beat. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had the biggest heart, his smile would light up the room, and he could make you laugh when you were feeling down

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.

A celebration of life service will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Jason Hyde. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home 540-366-0707.
