Margot Morris

Margot Morris, 73, of Rustburg, went to be with her Lord on May 9, 2022. She fought the fight for her life courageously and is now at peace. She was born in Munich, Germany on September 23, 1948. She was raised by her mother and grandmother, Erika and Rosa Hartenberger, and later her stepfather, Otto Hacker. She completed her studies in Munich and became an accomplished cosmetologist. She then met the love of her life, William T. “Bill” Morris. After his service in the US Army, they moved to Chesapeake, VA and were married in Great Bridge Baptist Church on May 13, 1967. Margot is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Bill Morris. They were never far apart and cherished each other every day. She is also survived by her son, Cecil T. “Tommy” Morris, grandsons Dylan and Cullen Morris, nephew Alvin Potter, niece DeAnna Potter Thompson, cousins Cindy Gay, Michelle Demuro, and many extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved aunt and uncle, Gene and Alice Dorland. The family would like to give a sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone at Centra Hospice here in Lynchburg.
