Isabel Dorothy Perry

Isabel Dorothy Rutter Perry, 84, of Appomattox, passed away on May 21, 2022, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of George A. Perry.
Born on April 24, 1938, in Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia, Canada, she was the daughter of Rev. Gordon Rutter and Amy Purcell Rutter. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lynchburg.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark Perry and wife, Jennifer; a daughter, Kathleen Hamilton and husband, Keith; and six grandchildren, Stephanie Hamilton, Christine Hamilton, Keith Hamilton, Jr., Kenneth Hamilton, Marissa Perry, and Isabella Perry.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jim Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Isabel was passionate for pro-life; she wrote hundreds of letters to politicians for many years. She often stood as their accuser demanding they change their ways, and on occasion obtained changed vote for unborn children.
